Learning a new sport or activity should be fun, exciting, affordable and rewarding. Our Junior Golf Club program is that and so much more.
The Yuma Area Junior Golf Club is a dedicated year round program to grow golf awareness for our youth in the Yuma Community and to teach the games values and lifetime advantages. Our goal is to introduce the game of golf as a fun and exciting sport that offers endless opportunities for understanding important life skills, unlimited continuing education possibilities and inspiring career paths for the futures of our junior golfers.
We offer three age divisions for boys and girls that are jam packed with year round clinics, lessons, competitions, golf course availability and affordability. Our goal is to not only teach the game of golf but to also coach and mentor our junior golfers to better their opportunities for the advantages that golf has to offer in their futures. This year round program will ensure the greatest opportunities for your junior golfer to not only succeed at golf, but will create a solid foundation for valuable life skills that uniquely dovetail golf skills.
The Parent- Junior Golf Lesson Tee- We Want Parents Involved
Teaching parents’ foundation fundamentals of the golf swing with their junior golfer will have a lasting and positive impact on their junior golfers. We want the parents to also learn the right way so they can continually assist their junior in growth and progress.

Golf is a great game and there is not a right or wrong time to take the game up, but there is a best time to begin to learn and that is when you are young. Mark offers one of the finest learning programs for junior golfers in the nation. Mark’s commitment to junior golf is well documented in his continued success to provide junior golfers with great playing and continuing education opportunities. “I like to create a program ideally designed for each student which gives them the greatest opportunity to succeed in golf and in life.” FUNtastic is what Mark calls junior golf, because it goes way beyond the game of golf and teaches young players sportsmanship, understanding the rules of golf, proper etiquette and respect for the golf course, themselves and fellow players. These are very important life skills that add character and healthy development in a child’s growth cycle.
In 2010 Mark was chosen to teach fellow PGA Golf Professionals how to teach junior golf at the 2010 SWSPGA Teaching and Coaching Summit. In 2009 Mark was selected by his peers to receive the SWSPGA Junior Leader of the Year Award for his outstanding accomplishments in teaching and growing the game of golf for junior golfers.
